Our Network
Our Network operates in a raised floored state-of-the-art data centre in, London's Harbour Exchange Square. The facility offers complete redundancy in protected power, HVAC, fire suppression, network connectivity and on-site security staff.
Physical Security
When it comes to security, we refuse to compromise. The data centre features totally comprehensive 24/7 security to keep your equipment 100% safe. This means our customers have the protection of security barriers, 24x7x365 monitoring by on-site personnel to include visual verification of all persons entering the building, CCTV video camera surveillance and a security breach alarm provides the control room with information.
Access
Access to the buildings, data floors and individual area’s are via individually programmed Proximity Access Cards (PAC), usage of the PAC is logged centrally by time and date. The cards cannot be used by anyone else, whenever you swipe your card tag over the sensors to gain access to the building, your digital photograph will be displayed on security systems which are continuously monitored by on-site technicians. The technicians will then verify the information and only when satisfied, allow access. We look after you, but never obstruct you: common-sense procedures ensure you and your nominated staff can quickly gain access to your equipment whenever you require, day or night without compromise.
Power
Our policy guarantees all our customers a redundant high-capacity, stable and reliable power supply, with easy scalable expansion in the future. A minimum of 1Kw per square metre secure power is available, with power isolated between customer and maintained indefinitely, plus on-site generation which can deal with both customer and plant load whilst recharging the UPS.
The facilities are built to at least an N+1 standard; put simply, this means that if two generators are required to provide non-stop power, then there’ll be three installed. So rather than guaranteeing 99.99% availability, the guarantee is 100%.
Fire Detection/Suppression
Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) is installed in the facility. These highly sensitive aspirating smoke detectors are linked to the Building Management system which is monitored continually from a network operations centre, provide very early detection to help avoid fire, loss and business disruption. This is coupled with a gas based fire retardant that is environmentally friendly, to put out fires instantly, without damaging equipment.
Air Conditioning
To ensure optimum performance, the data floor is maintained at a constant 21°C ± 2°C and relative humidity is kept at 50% ± 10%. Both are continually monitored via the BMS.
Intelligent Hands
Our experienced on-site "Intelligent Hands" technicians are available 24x7x365 to enable rapid deployment of your kit, or help you sort out anything from a simple tape rotation to a complex problem affecting hardware or software from all major vendors.
Hardware
We only use Intel® based Dell® PowerEdge™ servers connected to Cisco Systems® routing equipment, which enables us to offer the best performance that can be supplied.
Within our servers, we use SCSI & SAS hard disks in redundant RAID array configurations, which offer even further speed, redundancy, performance and most of all reliability, with each server having a minimum of 1 GB of RAM.
All servers are covered by Dell's gold support program ensuring that replacement parts are readily available within a maximum of 4 hours should the worst occur and we have none in stock.
